AMITA SAHAYA is a writer with seven published works, Her recent book is under publishing with Pan Mamillan(UK) A social entrepreneur and gender activist, she has been working in the Development world for more than two decades.  She is the Co Coordinator  of The Society for Working Life. She is also  Founder Secretary of the non-profit Women Work & Health Initiative;  Director of Equal  World Equal  Spaces – a gender concept, and  Director of Findia Foundation. Amita  was on  the Advisory Board IGNOU (2011) for developing the post graduate & M. Phil course of Gender & Development of the School of Gender and Development Studies (SOGDS) of Indira Gandhi Open University (IGNOU) India.

She has co initiated a collaboration between Lycée Français de Delhi & the prestigious Hillswood  Academy School in the learning of the CQFD method of  Science, maths & Culture.

She is a Committee Member in the Empanelled Committee Against Sexual Harrasment, in the Ministry of Finance, Govt. of India.   She has co founded Sweden India Gender Network (SIGN) a platform for collaboration between researchers and universities from India and Sweden.

She is also the co organiser  of two Community Education & Development Centres located in the economically weaker colonies  of Delhi. She is a Post Graduate in  English Literature.
