It is truly the need of the hour considering that the lockdown and the pandemic are taking such a huge toll on people’s lives and well-being, with a host of challenging issues confronting people which range from finance to health, the closure of schools, etc. to so many having lost their loved ones. We have also been getting reports of increased domestic abuse, violence, drinking, children’s abuse, etc. where again women and girl children are the most vulnerable. Hence we propose to have a mental health tele-counselling for women and children particularly the girl children.
This will be conducted by a team of experts: trained psychologists, who will be counseling over the phone.
The beneficiaries will include the women in the WWHI database and the children would be those enrolled in online classes.
